Chair

This is a chair I built for Mickey Ackerman’s Spatial Dynamics class Fall 2019. It is constructed from 1x2 pine. It has a leg rest that slides from under the seat and fold out. The restraints were to use only 1x2in pine and to keep the dimensions within 3x4x4ft.

If I could redesign the chair I would have changed the angle of the leg rest to something more inline with human ergonomics and form, as well as but in another brace in the legs to counter the torque, but hindsight is 20/20 and I was a rabid freshman living in the wood shop.

I hope to make another chair, even though my roommates say no more furniture.
