8:02pm in Chinatown

Documenting the shutdown of Boston’s Chinatown during the early stages of quarantine. My relationship with my culture and ethnicity has culminated in my love for Boston’s Chinatown. Driving through the district and no longer seeing the vibrant night life was an unexpectedly emotional experience. Wondering if this place would resurrect was scary. Seeing the little cultural home of the city hurt was painful. Watching my little sister almost brought to tears was painful. Here is my documentation of being alone in Chinatown in March 2020.
